Okay, I know it has been a few days over a year since our last update. Yanno why? Because celebs kept tweeting, you kept watching and I was getting rich off the two advertising banners at the bottom of the page.

Well, actually it turns out that $15 a month isn’t the highlife I had envisioned for myself, so I’ve done a total revamp of the site.

Those crappy ads for knock-off fashions and weight loss programs are gone!

Since Twitter turned off basic auth I decided it’d be a good time to do a rewrite of the entire site and that’s just what happened. I know this isn’t a tech blog, so I’ll keep the nerdiness to a minimum and just say everything is more better. Faster, general-worky-betterness, the content is updated much quicker and for those of you down with the i-generation it looks pretty sweet on the iPad // iPhone.

Speaking of, I’m working on an app version of Celebrities That Twitter for the iTunes store so you can get your celeb tweets while you’re in an elevator … or wherever.

Another new feature is an embeddable widget of the site (which you’ll see on the right side of the blog). More details on how to get it for your site coming soon(ish).

Apparently, when I sit down to do programming work I forget about other obligations. That includes this blog, sleeping, feeding the cat, etc. So, even though the blog has been pretty quiet the last… well, fifty-three days, that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been magic happening behind the scenes. Trust me, it has been like a Penn & Teller TV special in my apartment.

We’ve gotten a bit of coverage since our launch, and I want to take a hot second to thank the people that support us and get the word out:

At 12:41 today we received an email suggesting we add RSS feeds to the site. At 3:46 I’m writing this blog to announce we’ve added an RSS feed!

Now that we’ve been live for a few days the site is starting to get a lot of feedback. I’ll share a few of them with you:

Just put out a rockin’ new update to the site, here’s what you can expect:

* Pause the scrolling by moving your mouse over a celebrity name

* If there’s a celeb tweet that you’re really diggin and you want to hold on for it forever you can now post it to your Facebook account. Just press the icon that looks like the Facebook logo next to the tweet you want to save, confirm it and now it’ll be shared there too.

* Retweet (RT) what the celebrities are saying on your own twitter account. (Who knows, maybe they’ll talk with you?)

* A handful of interface improvements all to make the site lookin’ mo-betta.

Keep sending in all the sweet feedback, and to all of the people that have been telling their homies about it: you guys are awesome!
