A blog in which CTT affirms we have a pulse
Okay, I know it has been a few days over a year since our last update. Yanno why? Because celebs kept tweeting, you kept watching and I was getting rich off the two advertising banners at the bottom of the page.
Well, actually it turns out that $15 a month isn’t the highlife I had envisioned for myself, so I’ve done a total revamp of the site.
Those crappy ads for knock-off fashions and weight loss programs are gone!
Since Twitter turned off basic auth I decided it’d be a good time to do a rewrite of the entire site and that’s just what happened. I know this isn’t a tech blog, so I’ll keep the nerdiness to a minimum and just say everything is more better. Faster, general-worky-betterness, the content is updated much quicker and for those of you down with the i-generation it looks pretty sweet on the iPad // iPhone.
Speaking of, I’m working on an app version of Celebrities That Twitter for the iTunes store so you can get your celeb tweets while you’re in an elevator … or wherever.
Another new feature is an embeddable widget of the site (which you’ll see on the right side of the blog). More details on how to get it for your site coming soon(ish).
